Welcome to Etang Grand Rue in Belgium, this lake is approx 30 acre’s in size and is quite an attractive lake with a couple of islands,It has come on leaps and bounds over the years and can be classed as a runs water producing fish upto 35 kilo’s and contains a very good head of Carp! The owner Daniel estimates there to be over 30 tons of Carp stocked over a period of time, when watching this water from a swim with a good view of the lake you will always see carp crashing and topping and at times is alive with activity! I will put a link on here for you to judge for your self information about Rue, the lake is only 85 miles from the ferry port so is an easylake to get to in a two hour drive. There are English style toilets and Showers facilities that are opened daily for those wishing to use them. Security is good and gates are locked every evening and again opened at 7am, but in the event that something goes wrong a phone call will insure you can exit! The only down fall is the train track which runs very close to the Southern border and approx every 30 mins your peace and quiet will be taken for a few seconds! They seem to run up to about 10.30pm and start up around the 5 am. I have gotten use to this on my sessions on here and am sure you would too! The one thing I have noticed it does not interfere with fishing. The shops are a five min drive with your normal variety of supermarkets, kebab shop and pizza shop and are very good value for money. I can take you to this lake on an all inclusive trip but it will not work from a Saturday to Saturday as it gets very busy and is popular with locals and the Dutch anglers, it would have to be a Sunday to Sunday for you to get a good spot to enjoy your fishing trip with us. Bait boats are permitted from October up until the end of March, from then on its back to the spod and marker work! Rue is also a very good winter water and there is some information on the internet that a couple of very good carp anglers have written about Rue a google search will find this information. What ever you decide to do Tight lines and good luck. Carp fishing in Belgium Etang Rue in Belgium
