NOW A DAY TICKET WATER OFFERING OUTSTANDING CATCHES ALONGSIDE SAFE FRIENDLY FACILITIES !! (2014)This extremely well established and a very picturesque venue dating back more than 200 years. Located on the edge of Horsham’s St Leonard’s forest deep in the West Sussex countryside, this fine carp fishery is renowned throughout the UK carp fraternity for its monstrous inhabitants, some of which run to over 40lbs. With several 30lb & many more 20lbders in reserve giving many competent carper’s 100lb catch sessions. The lake itself varies in depth from around 5 feet in the margins, dropping off to around 15 feet in the middle, giving several ledges and patches. There are plenty of features to fish to with an abundance of reed beds, islands, along with the added floating islands. Whitevane fisheries tactics have been the subject of much debate and always will be, but it seems that the majority of fish are caught on fresh boilies fished tight to the features! However beds of particle and or rolled oats with hemp topped with hook-baits including plastics have their place here too. Whitevane like most good southern specimen waters does get busy, but with 20 spacious pegs on the lake you can always […]

The Main Lake is the place to chase monsters and realise your dream of holding a carp that is almost too heavy to lift! The stocking and management of this lake has been conducted in a no compromise style designed with one outcome in mind: the creation of the finest big carp water in the UK. The Main Lake comprises 18 acres of scientifically-managed water, with depths ranging from three to 18 feet. Features include numbers of gravel bars, a large island, and lush marginal growth. Many of the comfortable, woodchipped swims are large enough for two anglers, and have been carefully positioned to give each occupant their own area of water. Our stock of fish in the Main Lake is very well documented; we are not one of those waters that claims to have big fish but cannot provide good, recent photographic evidence! Every catch is recorded in the Catch Log and this enables us to keep very accurate tabs on the growth and number of our fish. The documented stock of upper 30s and 40s is increasing all the time, with some fish gaining in excess of five pounds in a single year. This is the result of […]

Hi there we have two pools a small pool with roach, rudd, chub, perch, tench, bream, carp and pike, big pool has same fish but bigger, tight lines.
We’ve been looking for a lake or land for around two years for the purpose of developing a specimen carp fishery in the Stoke-on-Trent/ Staffordshire area. We eventually acquired a lake in September 2011 which was originally known as Millpool and had all types of coarse fish. We had the fishery netted and removed the fish in October 2011. The work then started to turn Millpool match fishery into a 12 peg specimen carp fishery and we renamed it Millbrook fisheries. We stocked millbrook in 2013/14/ and 2015 with over 200 fish from mark simmonds/fishers pond strain ranging from 8lb to 29lb and the weight gains have averaged 3-5lb per year from scaley mirror’s to big shouldered commons we hope to have by the end of 2016 at least (60-70) of these averaging 20lb plus, with the quality of fish we have we hope that millbrook fisheries will go from strength to strength and give you enjoyable carpers experience.

Located on a small 60 acre farm on the outskirts of Essex and London, Picks Cottage Fishery was originally used as pasture for the cattle on a small family farm. The first lake, known as ‘Top Lake’ today, was constructed in 1987 by Andrew T Roddick to irrigate the families ‘pick your own fruit’ business. With the popularity of angling growing rapidly through the 1990s, the fishery soon expanded to the four lake fishing complex you see today. Throughout this time, we have continued to take great pride in the lakes and ensure they are maintained to the highest of standards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ail_CVGOuFE Picks Cottage Fishery is currently managed by Andrew James Roddick, the son of Andrew Thomas Roddick. ‘Jamie’ as he is known to most, grew up on the farm and has a lifetimes knowledge of Picks Cottage Fishery. Jamie is committed to the development of Picks Cottage Fishery and continuing the good work started by his father. Since his tenancy in 2010, Jamie has continued to direct the fishery in a positive direction and ensures that standards are maintained to the highest of levels. Jamie’s philosophy is simple – great fishing, great facilities, great service! Testament to the fishery, the majority of our anglers return year after year for the great sport available at Picks […]
